Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this study, we proposed a method to reconstruct images from EEG signals measured from a subject who looked at the images by using deep learning of a generative model. The EEG signals were measured by using a compact EEG recorder. The generative model was composed of autoencoder neural networks and a feedforward neural network. We measured EEG signals during the subject looked at multiple images. Then, we trained the generative model to output the images from the EEG signals. As a result, an example of an output image reconstructed from learning data had shapes which are similar to ones of the visual stimulus. And an example of an output image reconstructed from test data had shapes which are partially similar to ones of the visual stimulus.
