Geometric programming is a class of optimization problems having positive variables, and has various applications including in communication systems, probability and statistics, and structure optimizations. In this talk, we discuss an emerging application of geometric programming in the context of systems and control theory. We specifically focus on the problem of containing epidemic outbreaks in complex networks. We further illustrate our recent effort to establish the framework of disciplined dynamical geometric programming. |
