Precoder Designs for Downlink GSM-MIMO with K Transmit Antenna Groups

(in English) In this report, we investigate the precoder designs for the downlink generalized spatial modulation (GSM) in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system. To alleviate the
performance degradation caused by channel correlation, we divide antennas at the transmitter into K transmit antenna groups (TAGs). Developed from the recently emerged precoding aided spatial modulation (PSM) concept, we devise a class of efficient receive antenna selection techniques with low computational complexity. To reduce the complexity of maximum likelihood (ML) detector, a low complexity iterative greedy (IG) algorithm relied ML (IG-ML) detector is also derived. Simulation results
demonstrate that the bit error rate (BER) performance of the downlink GSM-MIMO with the proposed designs outperforms that of the conventional PSM-MIMO, and the GSM-MIMO with an ideal precoding. Our results also demonstrate that the proposed designs achieve fast convergence.
