We have been working on research and development of a space-grade 10 Gbit/s free-space optical communication system to adopt an optical feeder link system. In order to realize an optical feeder link system, we require functions for uncertainty of transmission channel which includes atmospheric-induced optical power fluctuations. In this paper, we discuss design and verification of a free-space optical communication component (optical transmitter and receiver) and a telemetry tracking and command data unit. They are composed in free-space optical communication system which has a function of monitoring uncertainty of transmission channel. |
