Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, we propose the respiration and heartbeat measurement method during sleep using piezoelectric elements. The signal obtained from a piezoelectric element during sleep can be separated into a respiration signal and a heartbeat signal using the proposed method. In addition, this paper shows the proposed system to enable diagnosis of sleep apnea syndrome. From the verification experiments, the proposed system was able to determine respiration / respiratory arrest with 95% accuracy (10 subjects) in time of rest. From these, the proposed system experimental results is applicable to diagnosis of sleep apnea syndrome.
