Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) GPS is widely used outdoors. Radio waves do not reach indoors, it is difficult to use GPS indoors. Therefore, the localization method using the existing AP has been studied. One of them, fingerprinting method, creates fingerprints by gathering features of each position, then estimates the position by matching the fingerprints. While this method has high accuracy, it uses a lot of RSSI for calibration. Therefore, there is a problem that it takes a lot of time to gather fingerprints. In this paper, we propose a fingerprint creation method using multiple terminals.
Each terminal has variations in RSSI, it is necessary to study the influence of variations in RSSI on fingerprints. We conducted experiments both in an anechoic chamber and in real environment using two different terminals.
The experimental results confirmed that there are significant RSSI differences for each terminal in the anechoic chamber.
In the real environment, the significant differences were confirmed for each point, and the rates at which significant differences were confirmed 68.8% in timing difference and 37.5% in terminal difference.
Consequently, it is considered that the influence by the environment is larger than the variations of the RSSI of each terminal. We suggest the possibility of collecting RSSI at multiple terminals by considering a method of reducing errors due to the environment.
