Ad Hoc Routing with Restricted Relay Nodes Based on their Location Information

(in English) In MANET~(mobile ad hoc network), radio interferences and terminal mobility decrease the packet arrival rate due to dynamic topological changes.
In addition, general on-demand routing protocols cause huge network resource consumptions for the route discovery process since they construct a route by route request flooding when a communication request occurs.
To solve the issue, flooding area restriction methods for route discovery based on location information have been proposed.
However, in the conventional methods, the location information becomes obsolete since terminals share the location information in advance by relaying the information with each other. Therefore, they might be difficult to obtain the accurate location information.
This paper proposes a flooding area restriction method based on location information, which is obtained by and managed from a server via mobile networks.
This paper also evaluates the performance of the proposed method in comparison with a traditional routing protocol using computer simulations.
