Implementation of Path-priority Control in 3-path SMPC

(in English) Delivery of large-capacity content not only takes time for communication, but also consumes large network resources and tends to cause congestion of the communication path. Therefore, we have been studying multipath communication SMPC using IPv6 routing header for the purpose of improving communication throughput. Here, we have extended the 2-path SMPC communication method to 3-path and propose an inter-path priority control method to minimize the consumption of network resources. As a result of actual machine experiments, we measured the throughput of each path to various cross traffic patterns and showed that the consumption of network resources of multipath communication can be greatly reduced by the proposed priority control method.
