Prediction Method for Position of Uncontrollable Vehicle Based on Bayesian Inference in Network-Assisted Autonomous Driving Platform

(in English) In recent research, network-assisted autonomous driving vehicle is proposed, which means that autonomous driving is controlled via network with cloud computing and edge computing.
Cyber-physical systems in conventional works assume that cyber spaces can always support all controlled targets and the support should be continuous.
However, in real system, there should occur network disconnection due to equipment trouble or packet losses, and parts of controlled targets can be separated from cyber space and its control.
In this thesis, assuming that one autonomous driving vehicle is disconnected from network, a prediction method for disconnected vehicle position is proposed.
Position prediction can be realized by Bayesian inference with sensor data from controllable autonomous driving vehicles and sensors which locate around a road.
Implementation of the proposal and experiment result are evaluated.
According to the result of our experiment, We confirm that the position of the disconnected vehicle can be predicted and the accuracy is on the order of tens of meters even with the only single camera.
