Managing copyrights in media production at high school
Yosuke Ikehata, Noritsugu Sugie (Nabari Senior High School) SITE2018-73 IA2018-65
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Regarding school education, Copyright Act Article 35, Section 1 stipulates that copyrighted material is allowed for use in classes. In this article, “classes” means not only academic subjects but also extra-curricular activities, moral education, and integrated studies. Nabari high school students who major in CG (Computer Graphics) in the art media group use copyrighted material as their class curriculum requires media production. Also, the broadcasting club has many opportunities to use it in their activities. In addition, there have been cases of classes and club activities working together in their use of copyrighted material. Below, we summarize tasks regarding managing copyrights and portrait rights.
