The fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication system will introduce Massive MIMO technology at higher frequency bands with wider bandwidth for realizing super high bit rate. In previous our outdoor trial, 27.5 Gbps downlink throughput was achieved by SU-MIMO transmission with spatial multiplexing of 16 streams using hybrid beamforming at high SHF band. However, the previous trial was conducted only in the LOS environments with poor multipath conditions. This report shows results of a multipath-rich indoor experimental trial on SU-MIMO transmission with spatial multiplexing of 16 streams. The trial results show that 25.4 Gbps throughput was achieved in LOS environment, and more than 10 Gbps throughput was realized in the NLOS environment with strong reflectors in the surroundings. |
