The growth of IP traffic continues and various new traffic characteristics such as low delay and high reliability are appearing. Transmission in the lower layer is effective for transmitting traffic with a low delay. But there is a problem that path protection is not established in the low layer. We demonstrate novel 100 Gbit/s ODU4 path switching without bit disruption at relative delay difference up to 400 km experimentally. We confirmed applicability for core/metro network by evaluating accommodation rate on Japan Photonic Network model. |
