Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recently, acoustic levitation using ultrasonic transducers array is reported. In this research, we propose the methods of “acoustic particle cannon” for more application using ultrasonic transducers array. “Acoustic particle cannon” can shoot a particle held in air by acoustic radiation force. We designed and fabricated hemispherical ultrasonic transducers array using 40[kHz] ultrasonic transducers which makes particle of 1-3[mm] diameter levitate.
Moreover, we proposed two types of phase-control methods for acoustic particle cannon and conducted experiments and discussions.
