Recently, the broadband communications between train and trackside are required. Therefore, the authors are developing a new train communication system using 100 GHz-band millimeter-wave and the Radio over Fiber (RoF) technology. In this paper, we report on the outline of the field test between the high-speed running train over 200 km/h and the trackside by the prototype system and report the test results of achieving 1.5Gbps, which is the 750 times the data transmission rate of the current train radio systems, between high-speed running train and trackside. |
