A Study on a Control Method of Transmitter Arrays for Suppressing Magnetic Field Leakage from Wireless Power Transfer Systems

(in English) Wireless power transfer using magnetic resonant coupling with a transmitter array can maintain high power transfer efficiency by controlling the current distribution at the transmitter array even when the receiver moves.
In this paper, we optimize the current distribution at the transmitter array and the load at the receiver to reduce the magnetic field leakage while maintaining high power transfer efficiency.
Electromagnetic simulations using FEKO show that the proposed method can reduce the magnetic field leakage more than 10 dB and 38 dB, with and without ferrite plates, respectively compared to the method of maximizing power transfer efficiency.
