Relationship between head and eye movements during a reaction task for targets in a VR environment
Taijiro Shiraishi, Minoru Nakayama (Tokyo Tech.) HCS2019-6 HIP2019-6
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Two types of task responses were prepared using a HMD in order to
determine relationship between head-eye movements and visual impression
during visual stimuli observation.
Both head movements and visual impression increased with visual angles
for a visual stimulus to select in viewing. Since deviations of eye
movements were limited, VOR gains decreased with visual angles for
the stimuli.
While a visual stimulus was asked to select using viewer's actions,
there were little changes of VOR gain because both movements of head
and eye were activated. Visual impression increased with viewer's
responses.
