We developed a small weather buoy (smart-buoy) with communication function as part of studying smart-fishery.
To improve safety of fishery, we developed a simple system for measuring wave height using an accelerometer installed on the controller of a smart-buoy.
The developed system measured wave height by calculating the acceleration component in the vertical direction after correcting the smart-buoy's tilt by mathematical rotation.
In order to confirm whether the developed system could be measured wave height, we implemented the system on the smart-buoy and we conducted the demonstration experiment at sea.
From the result of demonstration experiment, we confirmed both of results were close when we compared result measured by simple sonar with result measured by the developed system. |
