| (in English) | A consecutive-k-out-of-n:G system consists of n components which are arranged in a line or a cycle and the system works if and only if at least k consecutive components work. This paper considers the optimization problems for the consecutive-k-out-of-n:G system. The system reliability and system signature are obtained and they are necessary for the study. We also derive the number of failed components in the cases where the system is working or failed. We focus on the optimal system design and try to obtain the economic number of components. We also focus on the optimal preventive replacement time under the preventive maintenance policy. The expected cost rate in one renewal cycle is considered as the objective function to be minimized. | |
