Recently, the utilization of wireless communication becomes essential for manufacturing because improving productivity and factory automation with IoT and robots become important for manufacturers in order to alleviate shortages of human resources. On the other hand, in wireless communication such as Wi-Fi, the increase of the number of communicating devices causes frequent frame retransmission on wireless link due to interference. It degrades communication performance and may result in low productivity and lack of safety. In this paper, we propose data flow control method to mitigate this problem. This method estimates available bandwidth of Wi-Fi network and limits data sending speed based on the available bandwidth. Performance evaluation in actual environment shows that proposed method can decrease frame retransmission ratio in MAC layer when wireless link is congested. |
