Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Experiments to prevent deer-vehicle collision by sounds from speakers or whistles have been attempted. Many products have already been released. Most of these sounds are audible and loud, so they can be noise. Human can’t hear ultrasonic and hyper directional sound can only hear in limited place, therefore these sounds can be used as the replacements for the ordinary audible sounds. In this research, we report that results of examination of responses of Yezo sika deer to the ultrasonic and the hyper directional sound emitted from a vehicle.
