Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this report, we investigate the improvement of indoor localization accuracy using only Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) of signals transmitted from wireless beacons. The proposed method simultaneously performs DOD estimation and RSSI ranging from the received RSSI, and improves the localization accuracy by combining them. We confirmed that the localization accuracy is improved by applying pattern diversity and distance-based evaluation function in RSSI ranging. The experimental results showed that the proposed method improved the localization accuracy using only the RSSI without hardware extension.
