Digitally controlled dc-dc converter using predictive control
Reo Sumita, Terukazu Sato (Oita Univ.) EE2019-18
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this research, a method to predict output voltage of digitally controlled dc-dc converter using linear function ~ sixth-order function was proposed. The frequency characteristic was examined by comparing PD control using the predicted value and unpredicted PD control. The result of the experiment showed that predictive P control has phase lead compensation at frequencies higher than unpredicted D control. The phase lead and gain increased as the output voltage is predicted at high order. However, fifth-order function and sixth-order function couldn’t use because phase rotation occurs at mid frequencies. In the prototype buck converter, it was possible to set the phase margin and crossover frequency more highly in the predicted PD control than in the unpredicted PD control, and the usefulness of the predicted control was proved.
