On Surge Voltage Analysis and its Reduction Method of Current-Resonant Full-Wave Push-Pull Converter
Masataka Oku, Tetsuro Tanaka (Kagoshima Univ.) EE2019-24
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) When the isolated resonant converters are actually operated, the surge voltage may be generated in the switch elements due to the effect of circuit elements’ non-ideal characteristics. In this report, we take up a current-resonant full-wave push-pull converter, which is one of the isolated resonant converters. When this converter is actually operated, the surge voltage is generated at the primary side switches. For previous researches on this converter, steady-state analysis has been conducted, however this surge voltage has not been investigated quantitatively. In this report, for the surge voltage generated in the primary side switches of the current-resonant full-wave push-pull converter, we report the result of the analytical investigation and its reduction method.
