| (in English) | As the number of flights with small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS, also known as drone) increases, there is the possibility of increased risk of midair collisions between sUAS and manned aircraft. One promising solution to mitigate this collision risk is to introduce UAS traffic management (UTM) system for sharing position data between sUAS and manned aircraft. One problem with this approach is the discrepancy between the altitudes measured by the sUAS and manned aircraft. This paper describes the reasons behind the discrepancies in the measured altitudes and presents some results from the measurement test to clearly show these discrepancies and to investigate solutions. Finally, some recommendations are provided to assess the requirements for a UTM system with deconfliction capabilities. | |
