Construction of Flying Ad-hoc Network For the Support of Terrestrial Communications

(in English) Conventional network infrastructure cannot be used in the case of natural disasters, therefore, communications can be temporary made available by using ad hoc networks. Using a flying ad hoc network (FANET) over a disaster area with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) allows to deploy an ad hoc network in various places without being restricted by the geographical location. However, FANETs also have the same network congestion problem as conventional networks. In FANETs, if multiple communications use the same communication path, network congestion occurs, slowly degrading the overall performance of the network. In this paper, we propose a method to reduce the concentration of data in the path of a FANET by diverting the communication to multiple routes. We also show the effectiveness of our method by performing simulation experiments.
