We have engaged in the research and development (R&D) of technology to select the optimal wireless communication system and transmission parameters taking account for radio environment. In order to measure the radio environment such as noise and interference affecting wireless communication in the unlicensed band, we have developed a small-sized radio wave monitoring node “Radio Catcher”. This monitoring node can carry out monitoring of spectrum and spectrogram at the same time with a bandwidth of 100 MHz at a frequency from 400 MHz to 6 GHz. It also can record IQ signals. The size of this node is 140 x 100 x 40 mm, and the weight is 150 g (battery and case are not included). It has 2ch/14bit/150MHz AD converters. The baseband board has a Xilinx Zynq 7010 SoC with external interfaces such as Gigabit Ether, SD card, and USB. Power consumption is about 5 W. In this presentation, we explain the overview of this node, and give a demonstration of this monitoring node. |
