[Poster Presentation] Localization of Radio Sources Using Near-field DOA-Matrix Method in Distributed Arrays

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) It is important to know the radio source locations in wireless communications and radio sensing such as radars. One of useful methods for localization of radio sources is the near-field DOA-Matrix method which features estimating angle and distance of each source from direct calculation using array antenna measurement. However, in order to localize correctly radio sources at a long distance, the array antenna with a large aperture is required. In this work, we attempt to enhance the accuracy of near-field radio source localization by using distributed arrays. Specifically, we clarify through computer simulation the localization characteristics of the near-field radio sources when the near-field DOA-Matrix method is applied to the distributed arrays.
