[Poster Presentation] Radiation Characteristics of Slot-pair array Located on All Layers of Multi-layer Substrate Integrated Waveguides

(in English) For fifth generation mobile communications (5G) and millimeter-wave sensing, antennas covering wide angle with high gain are required, and beam-scanning technology has attracted attention in the antenna technologies. Currently, multi-beam forming circuits that perform one-dimensional beam-scanning on a single-layer substrate are popular. A two-dimensional multi-beam antenna using multi-layer substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) is in the development. In order to form a multi-beam in the perpendicular direction to the substrate, it is necessary to design novel array configuration on the step structure of multi-layer substrate. In this study, a multi-beam array antenna is constructed by forming a slot pair at the end of the waveguide in each layer of multi-layer substrates as the radiating element of the multi-beam forming circuit. The reflection characteristics of each element and the radiation characteristics of the two-dimensional array are evaluated by electromagnetic simulation.
