Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper presents physical cell identity (PCID) detection probability using the narrowband primary synchronization signal (NPSS) and narrowband secondary synchronization signal (NSSS) based on the NB-IoT radio interface considering the frequency offset and maximum Doppler frequency in 28-GHz band. Simulation results show that the autocorrelation based NPSS received timing detection and fractional frequency offset estimation achieves the almost same PCID detection probability as that of the cross-correlation based detection using the frequency offset estimation before the NPSS received timing detection, while the former achieves the simpler computational processing than the latter. We also show when using the autocorrelation based detection, the loss in the PCID detection probability at $f_c$ = 28GHz from $f_c$ = 3.5GHz is only approximately 5% at the average received of 0dB for the frequency error of a temperature compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) in free-running mode of 20 ppm. Therefore, we conclude that the NB-IoT radio interfaces including NPSS and NSSS will be applicable to 28-GHz frequency spectra.
