In this paper, we introduce a road bump detection method by using 2DLiDAR mounted on a e-Bike. In this method, first, the height from the road surface is estimated by using 2DLiDAR, and then, the road bump is detected from the estimated height by filtering a certain threshold value. In evaluation experiments, we observe 2DLiDAR scanning data while we travel on a flat road, an uphill road and a downhill road by e-Bike. From the observations, we confirm that the characteristic waveform is appeared when the e-Bike passes through the road bumps, and the road bump is detected by using 2DLiDAR mounted on e-Bike. |
