Effects of audio insulator having horn shape on vibration transmission characteristics
Masahide Kita, Kiminobu Nishimura (Kindai) EA2019-81
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Audio insulator is used widely among user as method to change the sound quality of reproduced stereophonic sound. In previous studies, we had carried out theoretical and experimental analysis for solid horn and evaluated driving impedance. Then, we could find out the change of driving impedance along driving frequency. This fact was observed for horn shaped insulator by experiment. In this study, to clarify the effect of insulators to audio equipment, we evaluated experimentally vibration transmission characteristics of some insulators with different shapes like as Column, Conical horn and Exponential horn shape.
