The ultra-high density deployment of small cells is being considered as a way of increasing the bandwidth of user equipment (UE) in the next generation mobile fronthaul (MFH). To achieve cost-effective MFH, applying TDM-PON system is considered for fiber-depleted area, though P-t-P configuration is used for fiber-rich area. In this case, our proposed a low-latency TDM-PON using a cooperative dynamic bandwidth allocation (CO-DBA) is potential upstream management scheme. On the other hand, in 5G networks, several functional split points between a central unit (CU), distributed units (DUs) and remote units (RUs) have been discussed and those base stations with each split points have different latency requirements. To realize co-existing of various base stations on a single TDM-PON, we have proposed DBA scheme integrated with SR- and CO-DBA. In this paper, we evaluate the upstream latency and the bandwidth utilization efficiency using proposed DBA scheme by the NG-PON2-capable-chip under wireless transmission is considered by simulations. |
