In this paper, we discuss the construction of quantum error correcting codes for single deletion errors. To begin with, we define the single deletion errors for quantum states, encoding/decoding with two sets which consist of binary sequences, and two conditions for the sets. Secondly, we prove that the quantum single deletion error correcting codes are constructible by using two sets satisfying the conditions. At last, we show two instances of the sets which satisfy the conditions. Since any construction of quantum single deletion error correcting codes has not been known, this is the first paper to construct the codes. |
