The purpose of this study is to validate the accuracy of measuring flow velocity with parallel imaging technique, which is effective in reducing acquisition time. We performed 3D cine phase-contrast MR imaging with prospective pseudo ECG gating using a 3-Tesla MR imaging scanner with 12ch head matrix and neck matrix receiving coils. The parallel imaging technique (PAT) factors was changed from 2 to 4. As the PAT factor increased, the spatially-averaged velocity error rate increased, but never exceeded 10%. In the PAT factors used in this study, no significant measurement error was observed, so this technique can contribute to save the acquisition time. |
