Cloud operation technology enabling to break down problems between a tenant and an infrastructure

(in English) Recently, it is become popular to develop systems using micro services. As these systems are distributed system using micro services, it is difficult to analyze the causes of performance degradation. To cope with this problem, distributed tracing methods are developed, it became possible for developer to measure the latencies between micro services and visualize them. These methods can distinguish that there are some problems when the latencies between micro services become long. However, it is not possible to find out that the problem is caused in user applications or in infrastructure. This paper proposes a method that enables to judge whether a problem is caused in user tenant or in infrastructure by analyzing the routing path of communication between applications in infrastructure and dynamically deploying software sensors on the path using Enhanced Berkley Packet Filter (eBPF). Then, we evaluated the proposed method using an experiment system. As a result, we found out the proposed method can be usable.
