Elastic optical networks that can use flexibly optical spectrum resources are attracting attention. In elastic optical networks, we execute multi-path routing that establishes by splitting multiple paths if it can not do by a single path. Multi-path routing tends to increase guard bands that are allocated between two adjacent paths to avoid interference. In the previous research, they proposed a multi-path routing algorithm with traffic grooming. However, they assumed that a uniform modulation level is adopted. Therefore, they do not consider a difference in necessary resources according to path lengths and allocating them. In this paper, we propose a multi-path routing method with traffic grooming considering path lengths. Our proposed method establishes multi-path routing considering path lengths, utilization of the fibers and application of traffic grooming. As a result of the simulation, we were able to decrease the call blocking probability. Then we showed utility of traffic grooming and improvement of optical spectrum resources usage rate. |
