In an environment where multiple wireless LAN (WLAN) systems are densely placed, SACA (Semi-Active CW Adaptation) method has been proposed as media access control considering the capture effect in order to solve frame collisions within WLAN and among WLANs. Furthermore, a dynamic threshold setting method that controls the number of reusing back-off time which is used for continuous transmission with same waiting time in SACA method according to the distance between WLANs has been proposed in order to realize improving throughput fairness and higher total throughput. However, this method is insufficient to improve throughput by the capture effect compared with SACA method. To cope with this problem, in this paper, we propose a new dynamic threshold setting method of the number of reusing back-off time based on a logistic function of a mathematical model that represents how the population of biology saturates.We also evaluate effectiveness of the proposed method by simulation experiments. As a result, the proposed method can improve the throughput fairness compared with SACA method when the distance between WLANs is short. Furthermore, the proposed method can obtain high throughput same as SACA method and higher than CSMA/CA. |
