Lithium ion batteries used in a wide variety of fields such as mobile devices and electric vehicles, and their performance demanded to be improved. Lithium ion batteries have a spatially non-uniform reaction during charging and discharging. The non-uniform spatial structure and its physical properties are not completly understood. Therefore, in this presentation, applying non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) to the Co-K edge 2D-XAS images of the lithium ion batteries, we will decompose the images into spatial components and their corresponding absorption spectra, and examine whether they can be physically interpreted. |
