[Poster Presentation] Extended EtC images for flexible data hiding and extracting

(in English) This paper proposes a data hiding method for encrypted images by using an encryption-then-compression (EtC) system. After bit-plane slicing, the upper 7 bits are encrypted by block-scrambling image encryption, which is a compressible encryption method. On another front, the LSB bit plane is the field for data hiding, and we adopt LSB replacement in this paper. By introducing both data hiding and encryption to the different fields, the proposed method can embed and extract a payload flexibly without complex conditions and preprocessing. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method in terms of lossless compression efficiency, image quality, and confidentiality.
