Steganalysis of audio data hiding which results in an additive whitened spectrum
Akira Nishimura (Tokyo Univ. Info. Sci.) EMM2019-129
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Steganalysis, which identifies the presence or absence of information hiding in digital contents, is important to detect covert communication which is regarded as a threat to security. In this paper, we focus on the steganalysis for the information hiding method ``Steghide'' which minimizes the influence of the lower-order bits of the acoustic waveform signal on the first-order statistics. The previous steganalysis on Steghide utilized the statistics of the highest frequency components. However, its performance deteriorates for the audio data that have high intensity in the highest frequency region and/or no silence segment. This paper introduces a novel steganalysis that utilizes statistics of the spectral components of low power. The performance of both proposed and previous methods are evaluated and compared.
