Outage Analysis for Information Correlation Assisted Cooperative Communications in Mobile Networks

(in English) In this work, we analyze the outage performance of a simple wireless cooperative communication system in Nakagami-m fading. Rather than in static network topology, the nodes are considered in a random movement pattern, e.g., in ad hoc or mobile Internet of Things networks, obeying the random way point mobility mode (RWP). The source-relay information correlations are utilized at the destination for joint-decoding. The exact outage probability expression is derived based on the theorem of source coding with side information, with 1-D, 2-D, and, 3-D RWP modes, respectively. Moreover, the investigation quantifies the effects of fading severity and nodes mobility on the performance of the outage probability, which are characterized by the path-loss exponent and shape factor in Nakagami-m fading.
