| (in English) | To provide video delivery services with comfortable quality, it is important to design applications and networks based on quality of experience (QoE). The most fundamental way to quantify QoE is the subjective quality assessment method by subjects, and the extraction of the QoE factors and their effects are clarified by analyzing mean opinion scores (MOS). MOS is a measure representing the averaged quality characteristics and is useful as a macro quality design indicator for telecommunication services. On the other hand, with the progress of diversification of service and user's value, it is ideal that future telecommunication services can meet the needs of each user. In this paper, we performed subjective quality evaluation of coded video by crowdsourcing using the Internet, and evaluated the impact of differences in viewing devices, gender, and age group on quality requirements. As a result, the coding bit rate of MOS = 3.5 for notebook PC users aged 20 to 34 who are strict in quality and smartphone users aged 35 to 49 who are tolerant of quality was about 3 Mbps and about 1.1 Mbps, respectively. This bandwidth difference has a great impact on quality design of applications and networks. | |
