A study on shift manipulation of intrinsic localized mode by using adiabatic process in nonlinear lattice.

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The spatially localized and temporally periodic solution appears in the nonlinear lattice due to its nonlinearity and discreteness.
The energy localization phenomena are called Intrinsic Localized Mode (ILM) or Discrete Breather (DB).
Recently,a method to manipulate ILM is numerically and experimentally discussed in coupled cantilever arrays and electric lattices for technological application such as energy management in device.
However, process of manipulating ILM is poorly understood.
In this report, shift manipulation of ILM is numerically discussed in ac driven Klein Gordon lattice.
Consequently,it is found that shift manipulation if ILM is achieved by using an adiabatic process of coupling constant between targeted sites.
