IoTPoCoFuzz: Power Consumption aware Fuzzing against IoT device

(in English) In many cases, IoT devices have limitations on input and program activation, and that makes it difficult for external testing. In this paper, we propose IoTPoCoFuzz, which enables fuzzing for restricted devices such as IoT devices by utilizing external inputs. IoTPoCoFuzz achieved to find an input that causes significant power consumption on target devices through an external network. Our paper describes the operating principles of IoTPoCoFuzz and empirically shows the effectiveness of IoTPoCoFuzz on RaspberryPi.
