As a promising scheme to transmit the information with ultra-low-power, ambient backscatter communication (AmBC) exploiting the structure of pilot signals has gained considerable attention. AmBC system with delay-shift keying (DSK), which intentionally adds the propagation delay to ambient OFDM signals to transmit data, can achieve the lower symbol error rate (SER) than the conventional scheme on on-off keying (OOK) while higher spectrum efficiency can be achieved. However, DSK and its SER performance were theoretically analyzed over fading channels with limited conditions. In this paper, we mathematically derive analytical SER expressions of OFDM-based AmBC system with DSK under generalized fading channels and show design criterion of DSK. |
