Multicast beamforming is a promising technique for multicast communications to design a beamforming vector based on channel state information. Since beamforming is based on solving an NP-hard optimization problem, proposing an efficient and powerful beamform design is a crucial issue. In this paper, we propose a novel trainable beamforming design algorithm by combining projections onto convex sets with deep unfolding that is an emerging deep learning technique. Although only unsupervised learning is applicable to the proposed algorithm due to the lack of optimal solutions, numerical results suggest that the algorithm shows convergence acceleration and performance improvement compared with existing algorithms. |
