It is well known that the calculation time of ray tracing simulations
is dominantly determined by the number of surfaces and edges of
environmental objects. In this study, we derive the simplified modeling
of the urban environment around Kokura station using image processing
technologies such as closing operation in morphology and convex hull
approximation. Moreover, we utilize the derived urban model for
ray tracing simulation and investigate its acceleration effect
and accuracy with respect to the received power level. |
