Words are transferred to the brain as sound stimuli, and network with individual episodic and semantic memories to generate cross modal integration of senses. Word meaning is constructed as networking memories related to it. Internet and search engines enabled modern humans to access to collective human intelligence. Keyword searches generate cross-modal phenomena with historically accumulated human intellectual efforts, and we can go the field which we did not know previously. As an example, the author explains his learning and thought experiences in developing Digital Linguistics. This is an interdisciplinary integration of preceding studies with exploiting tables and diagrams, which yields profound and clear meaning of complex scientific concepts. |
