Flaming Countermeasure Technology Considering the Frequency-Dependent Damping Coefficient in the Oscillation Model

(in English) Online social networks, which are remarkably dynamized, are often experiencing explosive user dynamics, such as flaming. Because the impact of this is not limited to online communities but also has a significant impact on the real world, it is necessary to establish countermeasure technologies. Since the effects of online user dynamics are fast propagating, countermeasures based on analysis of individual causes of flamings are not sufficient. Therefore, it is necessary to create countermeasure technologies that can be applied immediately. For this purpose, a flaming countermeasure technology based on the oscillation model which describing user dynamics is proposed. Conventional flaming countermeasure technology based on the oscillation model assumes that the damping coefficient is a constant that does not depend on eigenfrequency. However, the damping coefficients should generally have a frequency dependence, and the possible form of the dependence is becoming clearer theoretically. This paper discusses a design method of the damping coefficient to prevent flaming under general conditions considering the frequency dependence of the damping coefficient and proposes a flaming countermeasure technology by using it.
