[Poster Presentation] A consideration on wideband design of a triple-band multi-ring microstrip antenna fed by an L-probe

(in English) This paper presents broadband design of a triple-band multi-ring microstrip antenna (MR-MSA) fed by an L-probe. The proposed antenna consists of a quadruple-layered dielectric substrate. Two square ring patches and a square patch are printed on the top first, second, and the third layers, respectively. An L-probe to excite these patches is arranged on the bottom layer. By optimizing thickesses of the dielectric substrate layers and dimensions of the patches and the L-probe, wideband performance of three bands can be obtained. In this paper, the proposed antenna for triple-band and wideband operations at 3.5 GHz, 4.75 GHz, and 7.5 GHz is designed by using the electromagnetic simulator and performance of the designed antenna is presented.
